New house built in Cobham

We undertook all the front and back garden landscaping within the 1 acre plot. The back garden consisted of laying a 150 square metre patio, bringing in topsoil and seeding the lawn plus new close board fencing and gates throughout. The front driveway consisted of creating a sweeping block paved driveway using Marshalls Tegula blocks plus 20mm gravel for the main bulk of the large drive, 2 x tarmac driveway entrances and laurel hedge planting and cleft chestnut rail fencing.

Warren Road landscaping

This project took 8 weeks and we worked very closely with the client on all aspects and each detail. We came up with the initial design ideas and after a discussion period we started to build.

Access to the shed was paramount and so yorkstone steps were built and this was tied in with yorkstone retaining walls. A small raised water feature area was created to house the clients giant dragon fly and we installed the pump and electrics plus clad it with yorkstone.

Top quality Jackson fencing was erected and to add further detail we built 4 brick piers which had yorkstone detail to tie it all in.

Patios were built at the top of the garden and the original house patio was redesigned incorporating curves.

A chunky pergola was erected plus the lawn relaid.

The front garden saw a reshape with the lawn flowing around the house and a wild meadow area created on the perimeter.

A fabulous project to be involved in and hopefully the pictures do it justice.

A view to die for in Guildford

Magnificent views complemented by some excellent stonework at this Guildford residence

Decking area on a sloping outlook

The existing patio outside the summerhouse was too small and the ground falls away sharply. To extend the patio would involve a more costly installation of a retaining wall but a cost effective solution was the installation of a deck. The softwood deck was installed and please note the handrail installation and the marine cables that add a sumptous finish to the area. The cabling provides an unobtrusive barrier and feeling of space.

Extending a patio over sloping ground to further capture the stunning view

The remit for this job was to extend a patio over a sloping bank and this would involve putting in a reinforced concrete wall and then building the patio on top of this. Oak posts were set within the blocks and marine cable provided a see through barrier. The fencing was capped off with a belau hardwood. The finished result captured the endless view perefectly.

Commercial planting at a Guildford Hospital

Planting plan designed and implemented at this Surrey hospital following on from a Construction project. Plants used included Portugese laurel, Photinia Red Robin, Laurels, Rosemary, lavandula, Phormiums and a selction of grasses. Practical evergreen plants which require limited maintenace. The site was finished off with a bark mulch which not only keeps weeds down but provides a water source for the plants plus also looking great!

Hardwood Deck

Hardwood deck built to finish garden off. The walls in the pictures date back to the First World war as they were an access road to an armaments store. They are very thick, strong concrete and as such to remove them would be a costly undertaking. Therefore a deck was proposed to sit within the historical landmark and we created a curved step to add further interest when viewed from the house.

Hinchley Wood School – New Outdoor Eating Area

Our remit was to create an outdoor area for the kids to eat their lunch using a Brindle Block paved area. We worked around the canopy plus we laid the turf and the result has added a new dimension to the luchtime dining experience. This has allowed the kids to eat their lunch on benches placed on a hard surface rather than a grass area. It also has allowed the school to provide a further entertainment area for parents and pupils alike.

Large Driveway created in Burpham

We uplifted this driveway from a drab old gravel and block one to a vibrant Marshalls Tradional block pavior. We added the gates and built the piers with sloping walls plus added electric lights. The work has uplifted the whole property and provided a vibrant entrance which befits this large property.

Long jump runways created at Secondary school

Our remit was to refurbish the long jump runways which were in a state of disrepair. The pit had been refurbished the year before but the runways were not fit for purpose. After a weeks worth of hard work we restored them to their former glory and seed the the soil to eventually create a lovely grass area between the two runways.

Oak barn Installation

Our client in Merrow wanted an Oak Barn built for 2 cars plus a storgae shed inside. The whole driveway was dug out with 1 metre foundations built for the Barn. New Jackson tongue and groove fencing installed which blends seamlessly with the Oak. A york stone porchway laid and York stone walls built. Whole driveway then pea shingled. A field gate installed in the entrance plus lighting installed on sensors.

York stone pathway and pond refurb

The Yorkstone around this pond was unfortunately stolen and we were tasked with replacing the stolen stones and also refurbing the pond. We managed to source weathered old York Stones from a local reclaim yard and then relay the slabs which were this time laid on strong concrete and could not be easily picked up and stolen!
