Swimming Pool Renovation
Client had an old and worn swimming pool which needed a thorough overhaul including many of the tiles within the pool plus a new patio around the house. We started by lifting up the existing York stone around the pool and digging out and putting in a proper base of scalpings. The York was re-laid plus new York brought in and laid on a strong concrete base and pointed using a sharp sand and cement mix. The York walling was repaired and the pool itself had many of the tiles replaced. For this we had to use specialized tile adhesive and grout.
The coping stones around the pool were also replaced and special white cement was used to achieve a strong clean finish. The patio round the house was redone and once again had to be dug out and then new slabs laid. The result is a stunning finish which provides an ideal focal point for the garden whereas before it was an eye sore.
We transformed this pond from a stagnant leaking pond to a water feature which had a small waterfall plus a fountain and could all be operated by remote control. New liner was laid on aterram sheet and then large boulders were brought in to build up the height for the waterfall. Once in place pipes were fitted and the pump installed to enable the water to be pumped around the pond and through the rocks.
