Garden and Pool Refurb

This project was completed on one of Guildford’s premier roads, with the brief to refresh and update the existing outdoor space. Works included replacing all patio paving surrounding the pool, to renew the pergola and carefully reset the majority of the York stone copings around the retaining walls and alongside the rill that flows down to a feature pond.

Materials were supplied by London Stone, who produced the bespoke copings using a template we created of the pool, along with tumbled Indian sandstone paving. The new slabs were laid with precision around the pool, blending seamlessly into the surrounding area and finished with a brick-on-edge detail that frames the space beautifully.

The pergola was fully updated as part of the project, including the careful handling of a 30-year-old wisteria. The mature plant was unfurled from the original rotten uprights and successfully reattached to the new structure without any damage, preserving a much-loved feature of the garden.
